Volvo Penta D2-50 is a diesel engine of 2.2 litre, 4-cylinder in-line of kw that uses an injection pump in-line driven from the camshaft, and freshwater cooling. With a low engine speeds, the engine runs quietly with minimum vibration.
The smooth operation with low vibration levels is achieved through a balanced design to dynamically that incorporates a rubber insulation that is highly effective. The regime of the engine under, along with a muffler inlet air, reduces noise levels and contributes to greater comfort on board.
This motor offers high torque at low revs. That means a great power and a fast response when manoeuvring in port, with a strong wind against and in tight spaces.

It features a large-capacity cargo that is included as standard. The alternator 115TH has an electronic sensor that allows for a higher capacity of the battery. Even at idle, the alternator provides more than 35 A, and, at cruising speed, approximately 100 A.
The engine includes cooling by means of fresh water, as standard equipment. This reduces internal corrosion and enables the engine to maintain an operating temperature optimum and uniform in all conditions.
