Step-by-Step Guide to Buying from Seawave Marine

At Seawave Marine, we’ve made the purchasing process transparent, straightforward, and secure for our global customers.
Whether you’re ordering a marine engine, generator, transmission system, or spare parts, our procedure ensures smooth communication, accurate documentation, and fast order fulfillment from quotation to delivery.

1. Product Inquiry & Quotation Request

Start by contacting us with your product inquiry via our website or by email at sales@seawavemarine.de.
To prepare an accurate quotation, please include:

  • Product model or part number
  • Quantity required
  • Destination country and delivery address
  • Preferred Incoterm (EXW, CIF, DAP, etc.)
  • Any special requirements (voltage, gear ratio, control system, etc.)

Once received, our sales and technical teams verify compatibility and prepare a formal quotation including price, warranty coverage, shipping terms, and lead time.

2. Quotation Confirmation

After reviewing our offer, customers may confirm their intent to purchase by replying to the quotation or requesting an official Proforma Invoice.
The Proforma Invoice will include:

  • Buyer and delivery details
  • Bank transfer information
  • Product specifications and serial numbers (if allocated)
  • Delivery schedule and Incoterms
  • VAT or export tax details (if applicable)

This document serves as your official order confirmation and payment reference.

3. Payment & Order Validation

Seawave Marine accepts international wire transfers to the company’s registered business account in Germany.
Payment confirmation must be sent by email (bank slip or SWIFT receipt) to validate the order.
Once payment is confirmed, your products are:

  • Reserved from available stock or the manufacturer’s warehouse
  • Scheduled for inspection, documentation, and packaging
  • Processed for warranty activation before dispatch

All transactions are secured and traceable under EU financial compliance standards.

4. Order Processing & Preparation

Upon payment confirmation, our logistics and documentation teams coordinate every detail of the shipment:

  • Final quality and conformity inspection
  • Warranty registration with the manufacturer
  • Preparation of export documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
  • Crating and packaging (ISPM-15 certified)
  • Freight booking and customs clearance scheduling

Customers receive a summary update with expected dispatch date and tracking reference.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Depending on product type and destination, shipments are arranged via air, sea, or road freight, either:

  • From our Hamburg logistics center, or
  • Directly from the stock owner or authorized dealer warehouse to minimize delivery time.

You’ll receive the Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, or tracking number, along with digital copies of all shipping documents once the order has left the facility.

6. After-Sales Support & Warranty

Every engine, generator, or part supplied by Seawave Marine is covered under the standard manufacturer’s warranty, which is registered and activated before shipment.
Our service department provides:

  • Coordination with authorized service centers worldwide

7. Returns or Cancellations
