As an international supplier of inboard and outboard propulsion systems, marine generators, and spare parts, we ensure every order is handled with precision and that our returns, refund, and shipping procedures are transparent, fair, and fully compliant with European regulations.

1. Our Commitment

Each product is carefully verified and tested before dispatch.
In the rare event that your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, our team will resolve the issue promptly and professionally.
We value long-term partnerships and our post-sale support reflects the same reliability as our pre-sale consultation.

2. Shipping Within the Eurozone

Our Hamburg location allows us to provide fast, secure, and cost-efficient delivery across all EU member states and the United Kingdom.

Standard Delivery:
By road or courier (DHL, DPD, UPS, FedEx, and MyGermany) for spare parts and small engines, 3–7 business days within Europe.

Freight Delivery:
Palletized or crated shipments for engines, generators, and transmissions via trusted European carriers 3–7 business days average transit time.

VAT & Customs:
Intra-community supplies to EU VAT-registered businesses are shipped zero-rated upon providing a valid VAT number.
All shipments include a commercial invoice, packing list, and tracking for full traceability.

3. Worldwide Shipping

Seawave Marine exports globally — from Hamburg to shipyards, marinas, and ports in North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific.

  • Sea Freight (FCL/LCL): For complete engines, gearboxes, or multiple units.
  • Air Freight (Express): For urgent projects or smaller components.
  • Warehouse Dispatch: Orders may ship directly from our authorized stock-holder warehouses in Europe, North America, or Asia to reduce delivery times.

Typical transit time:

  • Air Freight: 3–10 business days
  • Ocean Freight: 10–30 business days (depending on port and carrier schedule)

All export shipments are packaged using ISPM-15 certified crates, moisture protection, and shock-resistant packaging.
Every order includes full export documentation, ensuring customs-ready delivery anywhere in the world.

4. Return Eligibility

You are eligible to request a return or exchange if:

  • The item was damaged, defective, or incorrect upon delivery, or
  • The product is unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging, and
  • The return request is submitted within the applicable return window (see below).

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Custom-built, configured, or special-order products
  • Electrical components once unpacked
  • Items damaged by improper installation or modification

5. Return Window

EU & EEA Private Customers (Consumers):

  • You have the right to return eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and §§ 355–356 BGB.

International Consumers (Outside the EU):

  • Returns are accepted within 21 days of delivery, unless your local consumer law grants a longer return period, in which case the longer period applies.

Business Customers (B2B):

  • May request returns within 7 business days from delivery, subject to written approval.

Return requests received after the applicable window cannot be accepted unless an exception is approved by Seawave Marine in writing.

6. Worldwide Returns & Refunds

Seawave Marine supports returns and refunds worldwide, ensuring fairness and consistency across all regions.

  • Consumers outside the EU: Return window up to 30 days from delivery for unused, uninstalled items in their original packaging.
  • B2B clients: Return window of 30 business days, subject to written approval.

Where to send returns:
Returns must be sent to the address provided with your Return Authorization Number (RAN). Depending on the product and region, returns may be processed at our Hamburg service center or a regional authorized warehouse (Europe, North America, or Asia).

Duties & Taxes:
Outbound duties, VAT, import fees, and brokerage costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to Seawave Marine’s error.
For cross-border returns, clearly mark the shipment “Returned Goods – No Commercial Value” and include the RAN on all documents to prevent re-import charges.

Currency:
Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency to the original payment method. Any exchange rate differences or international bank fees are not covered.

Risk in transit:
Until the return is received and inspected, the shipment remains at the sender’s risk. Always use a tracked, insured service.

7. Inspection & Refunds

All returned goods are inspected by our marine service department.

  • Verified claims are refunded or replaced within 7–14 business days.
  • Refunds are processed via the same payment channel as the original order.
  • Functional or non-defective returns may incur a handling fee (up to 15%).

Every inspection follows manufacturer procedures and is fully documented.

8. Warranty-Related Returns

All marine engines, generators, and propulsion systems include the official manufacturer warranty, which Seawave Marine registers and activates before shipment.

Warranty claims must include:

  • Product serial number
  • Invoice or warranty certificate
  • Photos or videos showing the issue

Our certified technicians coordinate directly with OEM-authorized networks for warranty repair or replacement.

9. Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return freight unless Seawave Marine is at fault.
  • Returns must be insured, tracked, and clearly marked “Returned Goods – No Commercial Value.”
  • For heavy or bulky shipments (engines, gearboxes, generators), Seawave Marine can arrange professional freight collection upon request.

10. Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled before dispatch at no cost.
  • Once shipped, the standard return process applies.
  • Custom or configured products are non-cancellable after confirmation.

11. Refund Method

Refunds are made using the same payment channel used for the original purchase.
Processing time varies by financial institution but typically appears within 3–10 business days after refund approval.
All refunds are issued in the same currency used at purchase.

12. Legal Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer within the EU, you have the legal right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
Simply notify us by email or post during this period. We will confirm receipt and provide return instructions.

A model withdrawal form (Annex I of Directive 2011/83/EU) is available upon request at service@seawavemarine.de.

13. Documentation & Transparency

Each return or refund is documented with a Return Report detailing:

  • Inspection findings
  • Corrective measures taken
  • Refund or replacement confirmation

This ensures full transparency and traceability for every transaction.
